I hope everyone is enjoying their break away from school. My weekend started great as we were celebrating my son Ken's wedding shower on Sunday. He is getting married in July. I will also be spending time with friends up in Maine. Later this week I will be compiling lists of emails to invite participants to my KillamCafe wiki. Mrs. Macari and I presented a workshop on The Daily Cafe to over 60 people at Reading's Blue Ribbon Conference. We were very excited to see so many interested colleagues from as far away as Arkansas. The whole conference experience was awesome! So continue to rest, relax and have fun this week. Here is a Daily Five Photo Story that I used in the presentation. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patty's Day! I'm sure you all heard about the mysterious visit by a
leprechaun at Killam today. He left surprises, notes and even took a run through the library chased by police! Our surprises might continue tomorrow...we'll see. Leprechauns are very mischievious creatures. There adventures are few and far between. Room 14 will have the eyes and ears open I am sure.

Tomorrow is our field trip to the Dinosaur Musical. I told the children that when you go to the Theater, you should wear party clothes. Its optional but would be nice.
Ask your children questions about the performance. It sounds GREAT!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday
Hi Families,
I hope you all enjoyed the Photo Story attachments on the blog. There will be more to come so stay tuned. This week we will be having fun with Dr. Seuss and his many stories. Don't forget to have your child bring in their favorite Dr. Seuss book on Monday. Characters have started visiting our classrooms and are on display everywhere in the building. On Tuesday, your child should where Cat In The Hat attire such as wearing stripes, red, black and white, hats and t-shirts. Our class will read and be involved with center projects around his story themes all week. On Friday, we will make Green Eggs and Ham with our 4th grade buddies. Yummy! Oh, The Places You Can Go! Enjoy your week and ask your students about what happened in Seussville today...
